HA! I know. Biggest rip off to man. We instead painstakingly did 3 different trips in a work van, and car loads {after we had sold majority of furniture.} Good luck with that. seriously.

yeah seriously! Tell me about it, we had to get the 26' uhaul with a car dolly. Yeah almost $600.00 it's a huge rip off. Lucky us though because Devin's company paid for every cent!!

They are expensive but they are so much easier than making multiple long trips. I decided many years ago that my time is worth much more than money at times. Moving is one of those times!

I know! It almost makes you want to sell all your furniture and just buy new when you get to your new home.

I find that Penske is a better price for long distance DIY moving. Good luck!

Have you looked into ABF?

Decide what's cheaper, taking your furniture with you or selling it and trying to buy new in AZ. Remember you'll have tons of expenses moving into a new place, from setting up the utilities to buying "stuff" to help you get organized. Not to mention going grocery shopping to stock the pantry once again.

So, that being said. It may be cheaper to bite the bullet, get a little larger moving truck and taking what you have and is already paid for with you since the expendable cash may not be there to replace everything...

just my two cents.....have I mentioned that I've moved 8 times in 9 years...I'm kinda a pro.

Syd is right! but she also failed to mention if you are renting that you will have deposits and 1st month's rent ontop of restocking your pantry and fridge and deposits on utilities. It's times like these that you wish you were still on the payroll of the bank of mom and dad...good times... I'm glad that when we move someone is paid to come pack my boxes and move them for me and unpack them when I get to where I'm going. And it doesn't come out of my pocket!
